Rochester Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Rochester, Massachusetts.
Rochester Golf Club first opened for play in 1969. The course was designed by Humphrey Tallman.
The Rochester Golf Club course is a relatively short course surrounded by a forest. The fairways are tree lined, and two of them feature sharp doglegs. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on eleven holes. The small greens are undulating, well bunkered and a couple are elevated.
Par for the course is 69. From the back tees the course plays to 5250 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4032 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 515 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 120 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 17, a 382 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Rochester Golf Club is # 9, a 136 yard par-3.

I play Rochester quite a bit. It is a great course with great people running it. The regulars are good to the newbies and you may be surprised if you think you can stoll onto this flat easy to walk course and get away with a great number on the score card. It is not the hardest course you will play but it has plenty of challenge. I play here as often as I can and always will.
